2012 F250 fuel tank interchange

Ive tried searching but cant seem to find a simple yes or no.

There is a guy locally thats selling a 35 gallon tank off an 08 f250 for cheap, and I was wondering if it would fit on my 12 f250 CC SB?

I've asked the same and was told the sending unit parts won't interchange. I haven't verified that personally so take it with a grain of salt.
