I have a 2013 f250 with 24,000 miles. Lariat package with 20in factory wheels. I have been going back and forth with the dealership on the problem. They can't duplicate the problem wich I understand because it does it at random times. I was finally not the only one with the problem at the dealership and now they are trying to figure it out. I contacted ford customer service and that guy was absolutely no help at all. He said he had never herd of the problem. I went back to the dealership and they even said they didn't believe him. They contacted the ford tech hotline and got a reply from them on things to check. I went thru this same problem with my dodge previously and eventually solved it. But I figured I would let dealership handel this one with warranty still intact. Fords tech hotline replied back with this.

They have been rotated and truck alignment has been checked. Everything was fine. Dealer says tires are fine and usually they would be the first to tell you that you need tires....there always looking for easy money.

Most likely trac bar ball joint. However, i believe the 13 had a tsb ti replace the damper. May have only been 11 and 12s though.

Upgrade the trac bar at minimum and the ball joint too if you can. Don't piss with putting another POS factory one on. It will eventually do it again if you do.

My problem is I shouldn't have to do it on my dime....I know I could fix it right but ford should have to fix it. It's still under warranty and I have an extended warranty to 75,000. They said there was no tsb out on it other than check tire pressure and tire tred depth.

your just going to have to go in there and not take no for an answer. point out what you know to be the possible culprits. trac bar, trac par ball joint, bushing, alignment, tie rods etc.

negative caster can cause death wobble. but isnt really adjustable in a stock truck.

if that doesnt work id start with an aftermarket trac bar and joint, makes a huge difference in handling all the way around.

If they don't do anything this time then I'm gonna try and get my dealership to pay for atleast half of a upgraded Trac bar. Because I know they are tired of me coming in and they can't fix it. What's the recommendation for aftermarket track bar. Someone people say wc motor sports but other say those are junk for the price cuz the bushing in heim ends wear out. Some say the bd diesel ones are best for the price. Not sure new to the ford side of things because used to have two dodges. Went with a new ford because of grandpa's discount and to get away from the problems of always replacing something on my last dodge that I had going at about 900hp.

Readylift, carli, pure performance, pmf. In that order i would say. I have pure performance and am happy with it.

I notice alot of this Trac bars say they are used without a Trac bar drop bracket. The pro comp nitro kit utilizes a new back should I just not put it on and then use the adjustable Trac bar or what's your opinion?

Like I said before it all goes back to I don't and shouldn't have to put money into the front end of my truck it's under warranty...but then again it's going to destroy the whole front end of the truck in the long run.

Ic you do end up doing it to fix it cause yhedealer wont, go with an ouo joint. They are rebuildable and a bunch of guys on here are running them to fix the issue.

I don't think you need to take it that far IMO. But you MUST have something loose in that front end !!

Steering box play can do it.
Lack of caster
Loose trackbar.
Low tire pressure.

I have dealt with it myself on my 2006 and this is what I did:

Bought a Pure Performance trackbar
Bought a new Motorcraft axle ball joint
Tightened up play in steering box
Installed 2 Fabtech 2.25 Dirt Logic Stabilizers

I also replaced every single steering joint in the truck. All with Moog problem solver parts.
Now my truck had 41,000 miles on it but I wanted everything tight as a tick on a dogs ass.

I honestly think the tightening the box and track bar and stabilizers alone cured it.
If you want to try one thing at a time start with the stabilizer. FOR SURE !!!!!

Good Luck with it, hope this helps

So went to pick the truck up tonight and they proceed to tell me I need new tires that's what is causing the problem. When just 400 miles ago they were fine. I called bull because 24,000 on on a 60,000 milage tred warranty tire and there wore out. Stopped by a local shop that I had align it 500 miles ago and they said those tires are about 50%. They should cause any problems. They offered to contact michelin and try and get me 2 new tires to get by the dealership but that would help bcuz the dealership said they have to align it and balance them to rule out the tires. Oh and it would be $125 to balance and align.I told them see you later that will be the last time I go into there.
