I do have a little leak from manigold to up pipe. Ill grt on that and see if it fixes it.

Reading boost from thr insight

The factory map sensor will only read so high. I have seen some tunes let the map sensor read to 28psi boost and others read 33 psi boost... I would venture to say the computer will only read accurately to about 25-27 psi.

I would imagine you are much higher than those numbers. But the only way to know would be to get an actual boost gauge.

u would need the starter kit and a sensor but it could be done

I think Matts tunes read lower than actual

I know i wouldn't see the PSI #'s I do with Wildmans tunes

I don't know if He was boost fooling or ?

The map sensor can read up that high... but boost is map minus baro...

The factory map sensor is a 0-5v sensor. Its range is 0-50psi. But as you get very close to the edge of the parameters of the sensor it will not read accurately. So theoretically if you could completely max out the map sensor to 5v and then subtracted the baro sensor (50-15 = 35) you could read up to 35psi boost through the factory computer but I would not trust that number... With that said I have never seen that before. Every tune I have ever tried and with working with different people usually only hit either 28psi or 33 psi (not sure why those numbers). And those are with guys who have a stand alone boost gauge and know they are hitting 40-50psi of boost.

FWIW, with my Insight CTS, I could only ever read 27-29 psi of boost at WOT (most of the time it was 28 psi) right a long side by my electronic boost gauge that was reading 39-42 psi...
