20-25yds is a solid start depending on truck specs and your experience with it.

It holds great. Looks great. Many options. IMO way better choice than paint.

Matte silver wrap (truck was green) I used 22 yards I believe, took me and a couple buddies to do it in two nights roughly

Is it easy to do? Can any dummy do it or is there a trick to it?
How long will it last?

It definitely takes some practice and patience, make sure the surface is super clean using a good grease and wax remover. No its not dummy proof but it's also really forgiving, get a good heat gun and some felt covered Vinyl squeegee, and extra to practise with

That's what I have on mine too (3M). I love it. The wear on it is outstanding imo.
