4x4 issue

I loaned my truck to a friend a while back. Today I put in 4x4 (first time since), the fuse was popped, I changed and popped again. Anyone had experience with this?

Probably a motor problem. Unplug the shift motor and try replacing the fuse then, if it doesn't blow you need a motor. Also I have seen the wiring to the t-case get worn through by the front driveshaft

Another possibility is the vacuum pump has failed.
