5" exhaust question

im thinking about getting a 5" exhaust from the downpipe back. where does the 5" start after the downpipe connection. ive seen some companies that use a piece of 4" then step up to the 5". how is the flo pro made. looking for 5" as close to the downpipe as i can get. thanks.

They step up to 5" after the transmission cross-member.

WHS ^^^ ,

There isnt enough room to do a true 5" pipe all the way up to the downpipe.

You can kind of see where it goes from 4" to 5" at the cross member in this pic...

I think it's the bend that makes companies stick with 4" to that point, not clearance. Unless there is a worry that heat from 5" passing over the cross-member to closely would cause issues.
