5r100 torque converter on a E40d

Ive been reading a lot about this... and I cant find a definate answer. Is the 5r110 TQ plug and play on the e40d? Some people say you need a spacer, some say you dont... I can't find anyone that has ACTUALLY done it and had an answer.

I think this would be a nice upgrade since the 5R110's are know to handle 500HP before going poof. I doubt my obs will ever have that much.

Same bolt pattern. You may need a different flex plate. And you will need a stand alone TCM. You can get them from destroked. Guys with 12vs use them to run a tq shift I know a few guys who race 6.0s and they run 4r100's

You dont need a standalone tcm for a 5r tc
