Alright so this weekend I took the 6.4 for a roadtrip. I was pulling a RZR on a 16ft trailer, and on the highway the trans would stay right at 170*, but two times pulling hills going slow( like 15-20mph) the trans would heat up to like 195*. I don't know what could be causing this. checked the fluid and it is right on the mark, Tuner was set to stock. Any help would be awesome.

At that speed, the converter isn't locked and doesn't surprise me that it got hotter than hwy speeds. 195 is nothing to worry about.

sent using tapatalk because my iPone died

Don't worry about the temps until you are over 220F. Then watch it, but you can go as high as 250F for no more than a half hour at a time. 195F is normal temperature.

If you do need to cool the trans idle or fast idle in park or neutral. NEVER shut the engine off when the trans is too hot.
