I've got an early build 04. I disconnected my batteries the other day to replace my starter. Now the truck is flashing, and shifting a little different. Question is, do I need to run my truck through the learning process again to get my shifts back to where they should be? Anyone had a similar deal after disconnecting batteries?

It's the older POS Quazilla Xillaraider, 60, 90, 160. On the truck when I bought it, and it will have to do until I can save up the cash for the SCT Livewire TS that I really want. Shifts were fine until I did the starter and disconnected batteries. Now it's flashing once in a while and at times seems like it shifts too early. I haven't had the skinny pedal slammed down or abused it since the starter install, just noticing it under normal driving conditions. Usually drive around on the 90hp tune, and tow on the 60hp. I've only used the 160hp tune a couple times, but have not used it all all since the starter install.

Try removing the neg battery cables, then remove the Quadzilla. If it works, you could try reconnecting the Quadzilla. When I had an issue while running that POS Edge, I would disconnect it to eliminate or isolate it as the problem.

Does it still do it without the quadzilla hooked up? I would take it completely off the truck disconnect the batteries for 20 min, then Reinstall the battery terminals. Drive it for 20-30 miles and see how it shifts after the drive. Our tranny's take that long to learn shift patterns, one reasons why shift on the fly chips are hard on these trucks.
