What's a person do when deleting the fan clutch, when electric fans are installed? Truck is real doggy without the clutch plugged in. Thanks

I ran them for a while with zero issues. just unscrew the factory fan and wire up the electric ones. pretty simple. I went with the flex-a-lite 7.3 powerstroke kit. There's a VSC(variable speed controller) with the kit and a temp probe that gets installed into the radiator. You can have them come on at a certain temp.

Dosent the fan run differently if the truck has ac. Like if the ac is on it will kick the fan on even at times it dosent need to be?

Thought I updated this..problem turned out to be a bad abs module not always givin a good speedo signal to the PCM. Truck has been going good for a few weeks now. Thanks for the help.

Anyone else have any other suggestions of an electric fan setup for this? I would be interested in doing something like this for my truck for accessibility reasons. Anyone done their own DIY kit?

Aftermarket can't make a kit good enough for towing
so a DIY kit may be a trick

just installed another flexalite kit on my other 6.0 and it does great. Love this mod. Doesnt tow heavy tho. towed about 8-9k the other day. 99* never got above 200. stayed around 194 most of the time. that was even in the race tune. Before it would over heat in about 7 miles (slow driving dirt roads and fan clutch wasnt working)

I am? Ellerton towed Tylers truck to DPC a handfull of years ago with his old blue crewcab race truck with the flex-a-lite setup through the mountains of Colorado weighing probably 14k with tylers truck and trailer with zero issues in hot weather. There's many others doing it without a problem.
