Hey guys, Figured we would jump in to answer a few questions! Our intercoolers are designed to reduce intake temperatures, EGT's and support high horsepower/torque trucks. Increased boost results in higher temperatures which necessitates an improved heat exchanger. With the use of a thicker, more dense, bar-and-plate core we have achieved a product that supports stock and highly modified trucks. Thanks Josh, great to hear! We are very confident in the design, performance, and reliability of our products which is why we offer a lifetime warranty on all of our products. If you do have a concern about a product, our top-notch customer service team is always prepared to field questions and provide assistance. Thanks for noticing the updates to our 6.0L intercooler! We are always interested in improving our products and take any chance we get to make our products more effective for our customers. This does not imply that we had any issues with the previous version of this product. We updated the 6.0L cooler with thick cast end tanks and a thicker bar-and-plate core for a few reasons. First, we are able to provide improvements in flow with a smooth internal end tank. Also, the one piece end tank design and material thickness provides even greater durability than our previous offering. This new cooler is virtually indestructible and we've tested these units to 125 psi without issue. The upgrade core size and composition provides higher power support as well as improved heat transfer. Thanks! Our warranty program is designed to protect the customer as well as ourselves. If the item is defective we require a proof of purchase, product serial number, as well as a few images of the failure. In most cases, we do not require that the old unit be returned. Physical damage to a product is tough to gauge, damage could be inflicted during an improper installation or improper handling of the product. To protect ourselves, we require a police report for any accident damage warranty claims. Not sure what the core thickness is on the Spearco unit, our thickness is 3.35" which we found to fit perfectly and provide the efficiency needed for both stock and modified trucks. Although core thickness is a key component for heat transfer, keep in mind that core composition and fin density also play key roles in reducing intake temperatures. Thanks! Correct! Our new dimensions include the brackets attached to to the end tanks as well. Our new intercooler design provides a core thickness of 3.35". It is certainly possible for an old coolant hose to blow off or split under factory pressure if it is aged. That being said, it may be wise to investigate further into the issue as we all know the 6.0L is prone to H/G issues.
