6.0 shortblock For sale

I have a 6.0 short block that came out of a truck with 250° oil temps. It has been sitting outside so the cylinders are rusty.
Asking $175 plus shipping. Prefer local pickup.

Did th stand pipes melt and send molten plastic thru all of the oil passages?

The standpipe that the oil filter sits on top of melted. All that was left was the spring itself

I have the same engine here that I bought.... the plastic goes into the engine and fills the oil passages. how do the cylinder walls look?

Ya this shortblock would be for mock up only. The cylinder walls are pretty rusty since it sat outside for a few weeks.

I'm sure you could hot tank the block but I'm not sure it would take all the plastic out of the passages

Getting the block caustic washed should get all the plastic out of everything...
