You could also use something like a "TruCool Max" and SD trans lines. Part numbers for the lines:

Transmission Cooler Lines (SuperDuty 3/8”)
(Ford) Line F81Z-7A031CE
(Ford) Line F81Z-7A030CA
(Ford) By Pass Tube 2C3Z-7H322-BA

Cheers!

I'd have to second Patrick on the Tru-Cool Max 40k and upgraded lines. I've towed 16k through the mountains numerous times with a stock E40D and haven't seen over 190* transmission temperatures.
6.0 cooler is a good option, but my issue with that is unless it is a new cooler, you have no idea what might be inside the cooler that could fubar a perfectly good trans. There is a reason most transmission builders require a new cooler, and not just a flush.

I have a few of the 6.0 coolers for sale too. Backwoods makes a good point. The coolers I have were with perfectly working 5rs. The engines had failures and we swapped in 7.3 zf combos in place of them.

So no need for the 6.0 trans cooler.

If the 6.0 cooler is coming from someone reputable like ^^^ I wouldn't worry about it.
Just don't get it from some guy on craigslist who is trying to recoup a portion of his rebuild cost by selling the old cooler.

As far as the lines go, I look my old lines off a mimicked their bends with some 3/8" line myself. I'm sure a hydraulic shop could do the same for you.

I've sold about 15 6.0 trans cooler this year all out of salvage 6.0 psd haven't had a problem with one them, but I always check for leaks and flick them out before I sell them, I sold 2 31 rows about 2 weeks about to a guy on here he was very happy with his purchase

I am sure the tru-cools work well too, but I love my 6.0 cooler. Even towing on a hot day I have never seen over 180 degrees.

It suppose to bypass the trans cooler if the trans cooler get plugged up. My trans guy eliminates them but you need a special "ring" to take up space of the bypass tube. If your trans cooler get plugged up, you have major trans issues and a bypass tube is not going to help.

is there any ,major difference between the trucool and 6.0 cooler?

Sorry can't help

You replace the factory 5/16 lines with 3/8 lines. The lines comes from a Super Duty with the 4R100. If you opt for the 3/8 lines, you need to get the bypass tube for the proper fittings. Using the bypass tube is your option.
