so to start off with we deleted this truck a week ago. egr and dpf. so after the first night he found that the one egr block off plate wasn't tightened down all the way and that was no longer a problem. then the one coolant hose was leaking with the normal 08 oring failure leak. got that fixed with what we believe to be the updated hose. then the other coolant hose oring leaked and just got the oring replaced so now thats fixed. as of now the truck is still losing coolant. it only has 40k miles on it and only been deleted for about 500-1k on the high end. no coolant in oil and no visible leaks since the hoses were fixed. still not building pressure in degas bottle so theres still a leak somewhere but no noticable leaks under the truck. no leaks at coolant filtration system either. anyone have any ideas where to look? were at a loss at this point. loses about half a gallon over about 30-50 miles i figure it to be. its getting expensive.

If it looks like this on the oil fill cap or under the valve covers...most likely a cracked block. Which would be very unlikely with the truck not being studded.

Loosen the lower egr block plate and see if you get coolant out of the exhaust side

ill have him try this when i talk to him tomorrow. might be a while before i get a chance to post back though as he works 6-6 and its dark when he goes in and get out so its hard to do stuff on the truck. but ill let him know. what does it mean if this happens.

Have you checked to see if the coolant plugs that block off the egr coolant passages are wet? The one in the front may be hard to detect cause of the air flow over it and no real hot spots to cook the coolant to give off an odour.

Yup. It was the EGR delete vacuum line. Just blocked that off and now it's good. Except we're pulling the cab off today. :( again

There is a O-Ring on the bottom hose of the DeGas bottle. Check that hose with the engine running afteryou run it down the highway. Mirror and flashlight time. Be carefull and not burn yourself. The upper Rad hose up graded one has white end on the engine side. Which has 2 o-rings instead of one.
Its going to be a o-ring somewhere on a hose or block off plate.
