I'm sure it's doable, controlling the vgt might be a task, and mounting them in the valley would probably be a pain in the ass too. Those turbos are held together with the two hold down bolts. I'm having a hard time wording what I'm trying to describe but when you see them you'll see what I'm talking about. I'm not sure if they would fit under the cowl of a 6.0 now that I try to picture it.

so no one has put ford 6.4 twins in a 6.0 before? dang i though this could have been a cheaper way to get twins for my truck. i mean i understand the intake woudl change, the ypipe woudl complete be eliminated. only thinn i notice from the pics the guy has is the turbos look like there almost mounted togeather using 2 peaces of piping, i dont know if it comes with everythign liek he said. i am going to shoot him and email or get my bro to call him and ask what all it comes with. i think if it had the exhaust and up piping i might be able to make it work but why would i have a hard time controlling it???

honestly it would be a lot of trouble. it's hard to tell how much money you'd have invested by the end. plus honestly they aren't the nicest turbos in the world.. I mean other than wanting twins the bigger singles are running great on 6.0s in the 500-600 range. not sure what you're going for though.

IMO it wouldn't be worth the effort. With the amount of time and money you would have into it, you would be better off just buying a compound kit for a 6.0:toast:

i dont understand whats the difference between compands and the 6.4 twins?

i am going to build a big hp motor one day but for now i am wanting to lower egts and what have you. twins are a good way to go to lower and will provide good hp and spool times when i go bigger.

theyre not twins, 6.4 chargers are compounds, just like you would build for a 6.0.

Why do you ask is it going to be more money than its worth to make them work? Its the fact that the high pressure turbo is a vgt, this is the big problem, trying to get it to work right. You would need extensive tuning to get it right, if its even possible to do so with 6.0 programming. Youre also not going to get them to fit between a 6.0 intake manifold either, so youre going to need to swap intake manifolds, need custom up pipes, custom charge/intercooler piping, relocate the ficm etc.

Youre better off building a custom compound setup. If youre planning to do a high horsepower build, why on earth would you think making 6.4 compounds work would suffice? In all honesty in the long run, its going to be cheaper and less of a headache to build a compound setup.

right now i am not trying to build hp. i am waiting for my headgasket and or my injectors to fail before i do. so i can do more then just headstuds, tunning and throw a turbo at it. i want to go into the motor and build it up right and make a reliable hp motor.

i guess ill hold off on twins till i go bigger motor mods and then i will be building a custom set up but till then
