Looking for some opinions, I have never removed a Ford engine before, I have a guy wanting me to remove and replace a 6.7L. Are there any special tools required? How big of a job is it? I'm not a Ford tech, but I am a CAT technician. Is it something I could achieve in a reasonable amount of time? If so, how many hours?

interested as well, started a thread the other day with no responses. This attachment may at least help you get to the motor lol

One of my Ford tech friends told me that it was a 24-26 hour job from pulling into the shop to running down the road.

Its not a easy job, you have to pull the turbo to get enough clearance but other than that its just the same as pulling any other engine.

I agree, that would be great. I told them I would take on the job, we'll see how it goes. I can take pics and make a thread about it if there isn't one already. Like I said, I've never done it so we'll see. I've pulled many CAT truck engines but that doesn't take a whole lot, nothing like this 6.7.
