So I'm thinking of going a little bit different of a route since funds are tight , was going to go with the s366 t4 kit and 238/100s and the obs fuel system from Irate diesel, studs , springs and rods , machine the heads and do new pistons and rings and re seal the whole motor.... But funds are tight and I'm gonna go a little smaller of a hp build , looking at Baby swamps injectors , and a D66 turbo and possibly just studs but doing one at a time since the heads don't leak at all .... Any info and help would be much appreciated on a smaller setup to go with ! Thanks.

Id do valve springs, the 238/100 injectors, a fuel system, and something other than a d66 for the turbo. There is never a gaurentee you wont blow a head gasket, but you can pretty much rest assured you wont blow a head gasket with 238/100's on the stock head bolts. I ran 238/100's with a 38r, on stock head bolts for like 30k miles without issue, and that truck was drove hard daily. Plenty of others have ran decent sized injectors successfully without studs on 7.3's. Is it good insurance, yes, necessary, no. Most will probably advise you to stud first, but that was my experience. If this were a 6.0, id obviously advise studs.

I ran 250/100s and a 38r making around 45psi of boost. Stock head bolts stock springs and pushrods. Motor ran great with no issues till I windowed the block. In my opinion you don't need studs with that small of injectors

If you are going to run a drop in turbo you may not need studs with those injectors, but I still recommend them. If you get a T4 style turbo that actually moves some volume you will need studs for sure. I blew both head gaskets with a set of stage 2's and a 467.7 after the first pass at the strip with it. I had a D66 in there for years before and never had an issue but the volume is what gets ya.

/Don't waste your money on a d66, do the studs one at a time, valve springs, 238/100 and tuning to match until you can run a t4 turbo set up.
