7.3 start up problem found

My dad and i found the problem. The wiring harness thst connects to both battrries to thr starter corroded off that connected to the starter. The starter is junk as well. Just glad thos didnt happe away from home..
how much does a new wiring harness cost? Or is there a way to fix it?
or am i better off just re doing it while im thos far.

Like $90 from Tousley. Well for positive cable. Dunno bout negative

I think its a bit cheaper for just the positive cable, closer to 75 I thought. I have it written down somewhere.
Rock auto also sells it, about the same price as tousley iirc. Not sure if your local ford dealer will price match or not

You can get it from O'Reilly's. They have to order it. Next day, about 75 bucks. No shipping.

The positive battety cable? From any parts.house? Me no thinks so.....

Ford pn for dual alternator trucks in a 7.3 sd is 86'ed. No mas!

The single alt pn is still available but probably not for long.

If we arent talking battery cables, im confused. I know of nothing else that goes.from the batts to the starter. :shrug:
