7.3 timing cover

I have a 2000 7.3 in the truck now that will be coming out in the next few months. I have a 96 in the garage right now getting cleaned up and gone through. My question is the timing cover from the 00, is it something I should swap over to the 96? I have read that I will also need to swap the pick up but just didn't know if the 00 was a better version or same as the 96.

Pretty sure you can put a HPOP filter in the 2000 cover, unlike the OBS. The pickup tube is on the other side. The two won't swap.
