I bought this truck about 2 weeks ago now, it's got an 8" bds 4link lift with 3" ready lift spacer on top of it, 40x15.50 Toyos on 22x12 American forces, it's too damn tall for me as it is since I'm not a fan of trucks that are lifted to the point of uselessness. The plan in the near future is to drop it to 4.5" using a Carli back country kit with the full leafs in the rear and long travel airbags since this truck will work some. But untill then (waiting on a friend to come up with money to buy this kit) I want to lower it some by pulling the ready lift kit off, has any one run 40's on 8"? Is it drivable? Or will rub every time I try to turn even just a little? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1463060401.721588.jpg

I have 7" and 37's, 20x12 -44 and they rub on the flares a little. Wouldn't work off road but isn't crazy if your just hitting normal small bumps while turning sharpish. Has broke the bottom of both flares though. The tires are also only 13.50's. You would be okish but would rub.

All I want to be able to do is drive the truck back and forth to work, I have a jeep and a 2015 trail edition 4Runner for Offroad adventures. The truck will see some light Offroad time once it's lowered to 4.5" and 37's but for now it's staying on the road unless it makes it to beach or gets parked in the grass

I am right there with high roller when i bumped up to a true 37" i had to bump my 7" lift an inch to keep from tire impact into the inner fender just tooling around town

your trucks more useful now than if you pull the lift to 8 " with 40's IMO

Oh 40's, I had 38's on my mind. Zmann is right. Leave it alone.
40's and 8" is a no go unless you have a sawzall or skinny rims/tires. Lol

I want to go 9" and 38x15.50's with some one up off-road arms so I can pull poke the diff forward a bit. We will see though as I just bought new 37's, I don't have the scratch for a fancy new lift right now.
