Those of you who used the 910 springs, what did you use for shims?

doing mine with a micrometer so there all even.. what shim to use is going to depend on miles, maintenance and wear of the valves...

This, you need to spend a little money on tools and install every spring to a specific height.

If you wanna just wing it go .030

It varied from valve to valve, but some were up in the .060 range.

Now how many of you actually measure them?

If you did not and used shims all you actually know for sure is that you did not use enough lift to cause binding at the rpms you are running. Nothing more.

How many fully compressed the spring once or twice before they installed them to insure it took its initial set?

You can also check the actual bind height as well as the ones listed are the MAX tolerance COMP Cams will allow for they are almost always a good bit under this but you have to check. I have always used it as the ceiling.
