97 7.3l lope

Hello I was wondering if I could get some advice I just purchased a 97 7.3l and when it gets warm it lopes hard on start up new icp and new used ipr cleaned tanks new filters run better but stil not right

Any tuning added? Does it also lope coming to a stop after a hard run on the interstate?

Any old 7.3 that is not running well, is usually in need of HPO system attention or injectors. Hot oil is thin oil so they get crankier as they warm. You may want to put in a brand new IPR. I'd get the truck on a datalogger/scanner and watch the ICP, duty cycle during the lope.

How long since an oil change. And what kind of oil. Some oils cause loping really bad when they get a little to old. Rotella in particular.

"New used IPR" Lol
Just get a new one. If you have a bumper to bumper, they have the Motorcraft one.
My brothers did that, and the IPR was then problem anyways.
