99-04 rims,tires and lift?

Ok guys! I have 01 f250 cc/sb 4x4. I bought it and pretty sure it has a 4" lift or something similar. I've never had a lifted truck so I'm not too savvy on the the subject. My first question is: when a lift is installed shouldn't the drive shaft be leveled out so it's in line? I've had all the unjointed and carrier bearing replaced at the time of my new tranny install. The torque converter was the culprit to the failure. The mechanic said it was welded to the shaft. Not intentionslly that's how hot it got. He also said it was not the factory tc but tranny was.
I'm wondering if the misalignment is causing some issues.
Next question: I have the factory 16" wheels with 315/75/16 tires. I want to go with a 20" wheel and tire without using spacers. I'm pretty sure I'll need 4.5" backspace. What's a good wheel to go with 20" x9" and be able to keep it under the fenders instead of sticking out? Mm?offset? Tire size with my4" lift?

I not sure which would be more beneficial, a tapered block, or just doing a carrier bearing shim to pull it down into line again.

I'm not sure that your going to be able to keep a 35z12.5 under the fenders without a lot of rubbing on springs and fender liners. I may be wrong though.

Ok! I like pulling the carrier down. There's a shop near home that sells a type of leaf spring that's shorter so the tires don't hit the leafs. Is that what a tapered leaf is? I think they want 800$ for the set. I'll look it up and get the name of them.
When referring to offset ,What mm offset would work good for factory setup? Theta a thread on here talking about this but can't find it now. From center of wheel to the hub is where to measure. So a negative offset of 4 1/2" converted to mm's is what I'd be shooting for,correct? Or am I backwards?

They are 3.5" spring hangars with shocks that I can use 18x9 with. 4.5" back spacing33x12.50 18 tires. I thought you do 41/2 " bs and didn't need anything else?
What's difference in back spacing and offset?

The leaf spring isn't tapered. The rear block is tapered. Almost looks like one of those door stop wedges, just not as extreme.

Back spacing is the measurement from the back of the wheel hub to the rear lip of the wheel.

Offset is how far off the back of the hub is from dead center of the wheel. It's easier to understand if you google for pictures.
