i was wondering where is the best place to order front end parts from. my truck that i just bought has very sloppy steering, is it possible on the drag link to just replace the tie rod ends or is it better to buy a whole new drag link. im going to need the whole nine yards minus the ball joints. i also need a new ps pump its whining like a dog and it does have clean fluid in it.

You really need to get down there and see exactly where the play is unless you are replacing everything at once. Also, make sure you check the steering box for play. Where you buy stuff from depends on how much you want to spend. It seems like almost everything except Ford replacement parts is hit or miss.

I always get moog parts but for these trucks the moog balljoints (upper n lower) are still till broken in and used some. The best item that cured my steering wandering and play was a red head steering box n now its like having rack and pinion steering. If you have a lift of any check your pitman arm for tightness as mine used to come loose once a month with my 6 inch lift until I torqued it to 200 ft lbs and put a second nut up against it and a ton of red locktite and now it stays tight. Have to inspect and really pin point where the play is.

I ordered all the front end parts for my truck from Rock Auto. They have a large selection of price and quality.

Thanks for all the input. I ordered new drag link, inner and outer tie rods, center link, and the sway bar end links. All moog cost about $330, all were problem solver parts I think they say.
