99 f350 diesel electrical issues

99 F 350 DIESEL 4 DOOR DUALLY..94K

1)door lock remote sometimes will not work until key is inserted and turned to on position....
2)door locks lock and unlock ( 4th time happened this morning ) by themselves without you touching either the remote or the switches on the door...locked me out of the truck with the truck running...
3)abs light & overdrive light come on and the speedo quit working...truck felt sluggish...
4)dome light and bed light came on by themselves overnight and would not turn off no matter what you did with the switch...
5)poor mileage..like 10mpg best whenever..at one time got 19mpg on highway...13mpg in town
6)overhead console indicated that I am getting 24mpg...WISHFUL THINKING
7) not staying in park or parking pawl slipping...this is being discussed in another thread

NEW TRUCK IS 60-70K...EXORCISM IS 100K AND I GOT TO GET THE TRUCK TO ROME

does your windshield leak? water in the gem module?

to the best of my knowledge the windshield does not leak...never seen moisture anywhere inside the truck unless i spill something

pull the fuse panel and look in the connectors for corrosion, if there is any then fix your windshield replace gem and repair connectors

will check fuse box...what is gem, where is it and what does it look like?

Generic Electronic Module mounted to the back of the fuse panel has 14b205 in the middle of the part#

ok...anyone have a part number for the vss..advance auto says it is $125...what i read on here says it is anywhere from $20-$40

i think its dy1123 motorcraft bout 20 bucks
