99 no start, pcm?

Cousin has a 99 that doesnt have a wts light and just roles over. ALL fuses are good. PCM power relay if there is one? Or just replace pcm? Scanner/Computer wont connect....

No idea. Haven't made it past checking all the fuses(that are all good) and hooking up my scanner. Had to leave for a dr's appointment. Heading back to his house now.

I pulled every single fuse out of both fuse panels.

I should have taken a pic of whatever style of tuner is in the truck. It has wires running everywhere.. he didn't put it in though. Was already in the truck when he bought it over a yr ago.

ALL relays and fuses and diodes are good.. only thing I havnt done is looked at all the wiring to see if there is chafing/rubbing. But I would asume that if wires are rubbing that, fuses, diodes, or relays would be fubar first? Gonna go double check wiring this weekend then swap the pcm out of the dually into it and see if it is indeed the pcm.

It happens, especially if that chip moved on the PCM while the key was in.

i have a feeling the tuner is something like is in my truck but mine is just a monitor. mine is quadzilla and its got wires going everywhere, just for a monitor, and if i disconnect either the wire to the oil temp sensor wire, or the map sensor wire, it throws every single trans code possible. none of which makes any sort of sense.

no chip. i looked more into it today and i still have no clue what type of tuner it is.. appears to be some sort of fancy ass resistor/diode/potentometer ***in thing.. it ties into the icp sensor and the map sensor and a ground wire... not even sure where the power comes from...

yep, no wts, and no rpm bounce... oil pressure bounces right up though..

wants to sell it for payoff($7900.00) cuz he is sick of the problems it has/had. 190k miles.. ipr stuck, i think alternator was replaced, and now the currant issue it has... THATS IT!!

wish i could afford it... the body is immaculate, has some of the black frame paint still on it from the factory, and its a super cab. don't have a super cab yet...
