Early 99 was running then just died. Originally had idm codes for the passenger side. Valve cover was pulled and the connector was halfway disconnected. Replaced harness and all was good. Truck started up and ran great then out of nowhere shut off. No sputter no hiccup. Just cut out. Started again moved the truck about 2 feet then Sputtered a bit and died. Did this a few times and now won't start. Tach moves while cranking with positive oil pressure indication after a second or two of cranking. Oil was not on the dip stick. Refilled and still won't start. Replaced CPS and same thing. Scanned for codes and nothing was present that would point to an issue. A P0300 was present and it said unknown diagnostic code. Odd... Disconnected IPR then ICP sensors and did not start with either disconnected. Disassembled IPR and cleaned it good. Still no start. Was gummed up pretty good. ICP while starting is all over the place. As high as 1200 all the way down to 80 on AE. Duty cycle was 14 if I recall right. After all this was done we find out the truck has sat for 7 months with only being started 3 times. Fuel bowl has fuel in it and fills up quick! Oil reservoir is full and remains full after each crank. Im out of ideas and don't know what's next. I'm think high pressure oil related but don't want start chucking parts at it. Anyone have ideas?

When you've got a no start, watch ICP & IPR while cranking. They should both increase until the truck starts or they max out. IPR at 14% sounds like normal idle. How high does it go while cranking?

Also watch battery voltage, RPM's, EOT and injector pulsewidth for other possible clues.

How long was it running after sitting for 7 months? Has the oil been changed?

Update...I was thinking we may have an internal oil leak somewhere. So I pull part the driver side valve cover to inspect. When it was off I plugged the main engine harness back in and sure as $hit t fired right up. Let the oil warm up to 180 shut it off waited and then fired back up. All without a hiccup. Things like this drive me absolutely crazy.
