A/c and heat

Quick question guys whenever I turn on my a/c but with the heater on it only blows thru the bottom. And whenever I have the cold a/c it works properly. Question is it normal for the heater to blow just on the bottom?

when ever i turn the a/c on it blows fine on all the vents. but whenever i turn the heater on it only blows thru the floor vents. What could be the problem. sorry could not figure out how to edit my first post.

Is it auto HVAC? If so sounds like the control head is messing up. You could try unplugging it or unhooking the batteries. Just a thought I havent ran into that problem yet.

If it was the 4x4 it would blow through the defrost vents, not the floor vents. Sounds like a blend door
