A couple of questions; Why did the factory see the need to have the regulated pressure from the HFCM at 24 psi & most of the after market supply systems are around 10 psi.

Fuel is then drawn through the 10 micron
fuel filter and into the fuel pump.
Conditioned pressurized fuel is then supplied to the engine
mounted fuel filter via a fuel supply line. The pump has
an internal regulator that limits fuel pressure to 24psi.

Considering the regulating valve in the secondary fuel filter housing is +- 3 1/2 psi, 10 psi seems adaquate as long as the volume from the supply pump can maintain at WOT.

Whats the consensus on High pressure fuel lines, spec says not to reuse & replace with new each time? Anyone reusing them successfully?

Yes...have reused them...not recommended though. Get rid of factory fuel bowl if at all possible. It is a problem.

Return fuel from the hpfp and injectors is plumbed back into the filter housing. The problem is that it is reintroduced into the hpfp supply, unfiltered.

How high can the supply pressure to the HPFP be before there are problems with the internal transfer pump/shaft seals or other problems?. For example what would be the effects of throwing out the secondary filter housing & its regulator & just supplying fuel from the lift pump at 8-10 psi?
