Drove the truck last night and AC worked great, went to drive it today and was blowing warm air. Got underneath the truck and noticed the compressor wasn't engaging and there was some sort of fluid on the frame rail with no smell to it and can't see where exactly it is coming from. Is this a charge leak? Is the compressor bad? Any help would be appreciated as it's 100+ outside:(

pull the inner fender or look at the ac lines that run to and from the compressor, the a/c lines are really close to the cold side pipe as well as some other things, there is a chance that it rubbed a hole or got bent at some point and just now broke, im betting it rubbed the cold side pipe but thats just a guess, also check around the battery box,

Bingo! Rubbed on the cold side pipe, and got all over the battery, thank for the help! Looks like it is gonna be a pain to replace...

I dont think that one is that bad if i remember right you pull the battery box, it comes off at the condensor up front, and then its a two peice line that hooks up under the battery box if i remember right

had the similar thing happen to mine along time ago... don't remember seeing a leak. never though to look at the line. I guess I may as well check since its going to be down a while

Yeah, here is mine, dumped out all the charge over night. Easy fix, I just drilled a couple holes in the side of the battery tray and zip tied the new line to it so it no longer rubs. Gotta buy the lines from Ford though so they were more than I was expecting!

Mine was hitting the cold side pipe also.
I bent it over some then put a piece of rubber hose cut in half long ways in the area that was hitting.
