Ok...LONG POST AHEAD...you've been warned.
This starts with me attempting to upgrade my injectors and turbo...and the self destruction of a previous member/sponser here while I was right in the middle of attempting to get a turbo sourced...through that sponsor.
I was supposed to be testing the billet version of Dozers turbo and I sourced a core at Dozers request. I found that thro F250 owner, great guy and I got a sweet deal on an awesome core.
Injectors: Dozers wanted my cores to send to Warren, and self destruction begain here...I contacted Warren direct and had my cores made 175/stock nozzles and avoided Dozers all together...:flipa:
So...my core turbo is at Tims Turbo in Falls Church Va, about 40 min from me. I hand deliver and make sure Tim is clear this is my turbo and JJ is supposed to be sending him billit housings and wheels. Tim recieves a trashed stock 6.0 turbo in the mean time and never any billet part and JJ drops off the planet. (time span to this point: 60 days)
I contacted time and told him what I wanna do with the truck and he offers 3 options. I choose to have him build from my core a reasonably priced turbo that includes a bullseye batmo wheel, complete rebuilt of my turbo with new garrett parts and clip of my exhaust wheel of 20 degrees.
Mean time my starting issues errupt and I come in contact with Hawgdoctor through several other post here.
Let me say I've keep all this quiet on here because some of you know what I do for a living and well lets just say I don't try to drag anyone into my personal stuff and for good reason. Now, I didn't get into any drama and stayed clear of all the mess because I was kinda hoping that I would see some sort of resolve from Dozers and or JJ even a call or text saying "hey sorry can't do the turbo" nope not one word... :doh: No suprise I suppose.
And then we get to yesterday: I got to Strokers unlimited around 10:30am and Adam arrived shortly after...WOW. Great Dude, great shop. Great experience. My turbo had been overnighted from Tim's turbos to my house and I had it with me. Hawgdoctor installed 8 new injectors, installed my new turbo and made me a kick ass set of bellows (ceramic coated inside and out) AND was awesome company all day!
He will prob. chime in with his input on the turbo but I can tell you it pulls hard and cleans up my sticks amazinly well. EGT's cruising at 1800 rpms and 70mph are 600 degrees and unloaded I couldn't break 1100 and I tried.
Also it moves allotta air....Hawgdoctor jj'd a boot on the turbo on the test drive because a clamp actually failed...broke it in half.
Okay now that I have spilled the beans on my past 4 months pics to follow...
