Just curious, do powerstrokes have the same restrictive downpipe as duramaxes have? I saw an aftermarket downpipe for the 6.7's and was wondering if anyone has replaced theirs.

My 4" 2015 downpipes will be ready for market in a couple weeks, as they are currently in the process of manufacturing. I will have a pre-production pipe back next week for testing.

IMO, the stock downpipe isn't a catastrophe but it does leave some to be desired. It's a 3 1/2" ID pipe with a 4" shell. So there is room for improvement. The cobra head at the top of the pipe isn't as restrictive as I thought it would be, but it too has room for improvement.

That is what I thought when I laid them side by side. I ended up not putting the SDP pipe I had in, due to my observation.

APs pipe will be good as is all his stuff, so don't hesitate to hook up with him as well.

What do u mean by your observation ?

I presume downpipe on an 11-14 is different than a 15?

I was going to say the 11 - 14 DP is completely differant than our 2015 DP, that's already released

It changes the tone a bit, and the entire DP is dual walled on the inside its has quite some restriction to it

cant wait to get it, just ordered from SDP. i know that even a little more room changes the game a whole lot and 1/2" is a lot.
I'm not sure why more people dont do them, in the Dmax world most do it when they change the exhaust. I feel it will help in 15 6.7's when boost is over 10psi and it starts to screech. also having a 4" dp to a 4" exhaust is always a good conversation starter.
