Removed the filter head/pump assembly this morning then went into town and got a -8 male to male coupler and -8 plug. Good thing local Carquest has a hydraulic hose repair setup and good JIC fitting collection. Got home and took all of 5 minutes connecting fuel lines and plugging return. The dead AD must have really been making the Walbro work, because after the AD delete at key on and WTS, I did not hear the usual initial whine of the pump.
Next will be dis-assembly of the AD pump to see if I can tell why it died.
I still can't believe a special purpose filtration system like that does not have some sort of filtration in front of a pump that is that sensitive to trash.
