I was changing out my mirrors, today on my work truck.
The mirrors I changed them out were 08 XLT mirrors, (08-10 the ambient temperature sensor is in the front bumper.)
Started it up, CEL was on, hooked up AE checked for codes
"ambient air temperature sensor circuit high"
Idle was loping, didn't want to idle right (truck is bone stock).
Took apart the old mirror grabbed the sensor out of it, plugged it back in, zipped tied it into the door.
Boom.. (I unplugged it a few times to test, every time it was unplugged bad idle and immediate CEL.)
Just a friendly warning LOL.
