amp step install issues.

Guys I'm installing amps on my 01 and the driver side in working as should. However on the passenger side it said to tap into the black/pink stripe wire to the door latch, I don't have a black/pink stripe but have a pink/black stripe so that's what I tapped into, issue I'm having is when the wire is tapped the step stays down I unhook the wire and open and close the back door and it works as it should. Anyone done amps on a 01 know what the correct wire color is?

I did then on my 05 and was having the same problem. I unhooked the computer from the harness and it started working. Hope this helps you as well. It took me the better part of 8 hours to figure that out.

So you unhooked the underhood controller and then plugged it back up?

Yeah for whatever reason it reset and started working. I'm not sure about the colored wire for yours as mine was an 05 with manual locks and windows.
