another wheel question

new around here.. i've got a 99.5 SD and i'm trying to figure out what size tire/wheel combo is going to work. and yes, i did search the forum and read the thread about wheels and tires before posting, i just couldn't quite find what i was looking for. when i bought my truck i was told it had a 2 inch "body lift". the more i read it kinda sounds like what they meant is it has a leveling kit??? please correct me if im wrong. it is definately a couple inches higher than stock, i know that for sure. the wheels i am interested in are 20X12 rockstars (yes i know everybody hates them) with 305/55/20 nitto's. i believe they have a -44 offset. so my question is, with wheels that wide with that much offset, is it going to be a major issue without a real lift?

With a 12 wide wheel a 4" suspension kit would be your best bet. A hanger kit would yield you the best ride too. I'd get with Precision Metal Fab in the vendors section for that. Trevor can get you everything you need.

alright thanks.. i will look into that. im just worried if i go any higher with the truck those 305's are going to look goofy because they are only around 33's. i know i could go with a larger tire but dam those things get pricey

with 33s and a 12 wide its gonna require some trimming with a leveling kit. It probally would work long as you dont go offroad and flex out the suspension.

I just put 12 wides with -44 offset on my 00 and they barely stick out.

Should.be able to find some rockstars used. If your truck has 2" of.lift you can run 33s on 12wides. Upinsmoke 250 has a 00 ecsb 250 with stock.suspension running 33x13.5s on 12 wide wheels.
