My 08 has a weird ac problem that I can't figure out. With the new motor install I also put a new accumulator and orific tube. Vaccuumed the system down for 30 minutes and recharged. My low pressure side stays around 33-35 at idle which is good and high side is around 240-250. The air is ice cold at idle. The problem comes in when I go above idle or under normal driving conditions the pressure on the low side falls down into the low 20's and cycles the compressor. Finally I gave up on it and took it to a shop today that does nothing but ac work and they evacuated the system and recharged with what they said was the correct amount. He showed me on the scan tool the wot ac clutch relay pid and driving down the road it's cutting the compressor off and on off and on. Has anyone run into this problem before? Don't know why it would be telling the clutch to cycle at normal driving throttle percents? Thank you

The pressure switches control the compressor. Did they check the sensors? What was the high side pressure when the compressor kicks out?

The low pressure switch is new with the accumulator. They didn't say anything about the high pressure switch. They evidently use a machine and not gauges. When I was doing it (and it was colder then after I got it back from them) the high never would go above 250. It didn't really fluctuate much. When the low side drops off. I was thinking there was a restriction somewhere on the low side but they said the system is functioning properly but it's got electrical problems.

It was doing the exact same thing before I put the new accumulator on it. That's one reason I changed it and the produce tube. I've checked everything for being plugged in but that's its
