Any ideas on what would cause

Driving home from ts today and about 70 miles from home my truck cut out and every warning light in my dash flashed for just a split second. Happened 4 times but went right back to normal every time. I have no idea what would cause this. Thanks for the help.

Another thing to check is the chip....of course the truck has to be OFF with the keys OUT of the ignition...

I went ahead and replaced the CPS yesterday now today it has shut off while going down the road twice.

Sounds like what would happen if you keyed it off then back on real quick.

Is the big connector at the column tight? Ever been off for some reason? I would verify that something in the ignition circuit isn't loose or damaged/worn.

Then I would ask if you got water on the GEM. (The under-dash fuse block is the GEM)

The suggestion about a loose chip is also valid.

It hasn't ever been off that I know of. I'm gonna check the chip today when I get off today. Can't think of anyway that the GEM would have gotten wet.

Pretty common for a windshield leak to wet behind the dash and drip down on the GEM. But if you haven't swapped the windshield lately, and don't have any reason to suspect any inordinate amount of rain or water on the truck, then I'd look elsewhere first. Chip may be falling out.

Hell the PCM relay could be dropping out. A number of things could be happening.

Look at it anyway. Look for signs of water contamination. The windshield leaks and drips right on the GEM.

Ok guys ill check that out. Seems to happen mostly when I hit bumps so I'm leaning towards a loose chip.

Checked the chip out it seemed good and tight so did the ipr

Make sure the relays are all snug in the distribution box. If the PCM relay was bouncing around and dropping out it would be like switching the key off.
