I'm thinking about putting OUO weld on traction bars on the big rig. Is there any reason to NOT do weld on? They are cheaper, surely will get the job done, and being adjustable they would adjust for pretty much any size lift, or change in lift I would do...

What is the difference in the High Hp bushing? does a programmed 6.4 = high hp?

Any input?

Also, any special directions for welding them to the axles?

Should I also weld the tubes up while i'm there?

Nothing wrong with the weld on bars. They work just as good as any of the others. On the High HP bushings they are just a better quality option, I ran the regular ones on my 08 and now on my 11 with only one busting in over 100k miles on the truck.

My only concern is the heat distorting the axle tube. If care is taken, then there is no issue.

In all reality you don't have to weld all the way around the tubes right? I mean a few short beads in 4-6 locations should be plenty...

As for the weld on bars, I'll probably spring for them instead of blocks just due to price. Thanks for the info guys.. SAK, as soon as I free up the M35A2 i'm selling i'll be getting a hold of you.

LittleredStroker - I'll try and get some pictures and stuff when I end up doing this
