So has anybody ever run a gt4094r? I was thinking it may be a good match for 225/100's.

Specs-
ball bearing
compressor ind-67.8mm exd-94.0mm
turbine-77mm and comes in a couple different A/R housings.

Thats 77mm inducer 68mm exducer, its a small turbine. Morgan (younger1993) has run one, said it was a dog.

Stick with borg chargers

Unless Its a dual ball bearing, with that size exhaust housing, its a dog. Mine was a single ball bearing. A good single charger is a 64/65/T4 turbonetics dual ball bearing or a GTX 4202r 64mm race series charger. Or any smaller non vgt Borg Warner charger 62-66. The single ball bearings do not help much at all. Spent $3,000 on that whole setup, and it was worthless.

Also, do your 225's maintain 4.5v of ICP at WOT?

It's my buddies truck I'm just laying on the couch with nothing better to do than look at turbo's. But it has bobs billet pump and holds good icp. At the moment the 66/68 with a billet wheel seems to be the limiting factor. How about a s368? Could always just get another s366 with a bigger turbine too.

There was talk on comp about the 4094r as a single and a few said there were surge problems. Though that was on a 5.9. Just food for thought. Apples to oranges.

Garrett

probably getting paid at work to post this from my bionic

Heard they suck as a single. (compressor surge) but work well as a high pressure charger in a compound set up. But it's hard to beat a cheap BW charger

The turbo in Dozer's video is a custom turbo. It started life as a Garrett GT4094R but JJ sent the compressor housing to Danville Performance and had them machine the housing to accept their custom 71mm x 95mm compressor wheel. This wheel definitely outflows a Garrett GT4094 wheel and should not be compared to it (It would be closer to a GT4294 but even then is still a little bigger and it has Extend Tips). Hope this helps clear this up.

No worries Morgan. Danville lists their turbo as a "72mm VGT" but it really only measures out at just under 71mm (and it is a Dmax turbo that starts out as a GT4094VA). Why they don't just call it a 71mm VGT or something is beyond me but the wheel is a billet wheel compressor wheel that is the dual plane twelve blade design with some extended tips.
