anyone ever put in a brand new hpfp?

If so did it have diesel inside of it when you got it from ford? I just ordered one and got it and it has diesel on it but doesn't show signs like it was installed thanks

Ive never heard of it but it could be shipped/stored that way to prevent rust

you positive its diesel?

Alot of times they ship that stuff with a light weigh lubricant to keep the things from rusting, diesel can retain water so i doubt its actual diesel fuel, its probably more like a test fluid ect

I know my stock injector had some sorta fluid in it brand new

My dual fueler pump has something in it that smells like diesel...it's a new pump, I'd say you're good

Umm it smells like diesel it does feel a little slicker then diesel

Yes it was opened... I boight it off ebay from a ford dealer and i think it was for pics only, I can't see any install marks at all, I was told they will stand behind it for a year.. will just have to see i guess

Then yeah all it is is a lubricant to keep rust off. All our heads, powersteering pumps, etc come like this on our big trucks at work
