Ok so I've pulled my car for the last 2300 miles over a span of 5 days. So i'm 300 miles out and my truck starts running like ****, no balls going up hills that it should be flying up. So i stop off at a rest stop and look under the hood. Everything's ok. I use the tuner to check any diagnostic codes, has none. So i start driving again. 40 Miles later i stop off at another rest stop because i'am furious at this point. So i re-loaded the tune, truck runs great... I was so befuddled..

A tune wont do that. Most likely it's the vanes stickin in the turbo. Sounds like it isn't happening all the time. You just by chance got lucky that when you went and reloaded it, it was fine then. I think what happened is that when you shut the truck off you got lucky at that certain time in that the vanes somehow got unstuck and then was acted ok.

Yeah all temps were fine, it was building boost fine also.. The engines RPM's weren't going above 1500 with the pedal on the floor.. I'm completely confused. Drove it the like 300-350 miles and it runs fine..

Back when my truck was stock I had a similar problem. My vanes would stick and it wouldn't spool for sh!t. Once it got into lockup it would be pushing 30+ lbs of boost and pull pretty good until in went into limp mode. LOL :banghead:

Well it runs fine now, so i guess ill have to wait and see, i do have the p1000 code now that comes up when you re-flash the truck. How long does it need to be driven for that to go away? I believe and correct me if i'm wrong its an emissions thing.

the P1000 is not an emissions thing. P1000 obd2 code means that the engine computer is not fully reset. It also indicates that the resetting cycle of the engine computer is not complete. P1000 fault code is a misnomer because it is not really a fault code. When this code is flashed in your dash panel, it just shows that the reset cycle of your engine computer is not completed yet. Normally, if you are resetting the code, you would disconnect the battery (-) terminal for 1 minute and reconnect. However, on some engines like Ford, the previous code is not totally erased yet so that this P1000 code will show up.

To erase this P1000 code, all you have to do is to run the vehicle for about a week and it should be sufficient to remove all the old codes from the computer memory.

Thanks man. I figured it was one of those work itself out things. I think most vehicles do similar things to that.
