Im looking to pull apart a set of 99-07 tail lights, could it be done the same way guys pull headlights apart by "baking" them? If so, could some one please explain the process and what they used to adhere and seal the lens back on?

Can I ask why? The way they apear to be built yes you should be able to use heat to split them.

I have these clear tail lights but they need to be cleaned bad. I tried a few things to clean the inside but nothing worked. I want to scrub the inside of the lense. Also, the bigger reason why is I want to spray some transparent white on the inside of the lense so it has some white to it instead of just clear. Here is a pic of how the lights are now.

I would do everything the exact same way. Just bake it, pry it, and glue it back together with some type of epoxy or windshield sealer.

Depending on how clean you get the lense, I would probably spray the reflector as well. But then again, it may get too hot unless you go to an LED bulb.

Not sure if I want to spray the entire inside or not. And I already have LED bulbs. Thanks again for the great idea of making the inside white.

Hah. No problem. The only reason I say do the reflectors is because you'll get better light output.

Yup. I did my 08 lights. Baked on 250 for about 10 minute each then painted the insides and sealed back up. No leaks and it's been almost 2 yrs

I pulled apart one if my headlights because it got brown from water till I put clear ones in. I used that clear 30 second two part epoxy. It seemed to set really well.

Sent from my DROID X2 chillin somewhere
