Looking to replace/upgrade my shocks. I've noticed my rear end is getting a little squirrely, and they are most likely the original shocks with 135k on them, not to mention rusty.

My brother has them on his F-150, and I like them. Price is decent, plus they are adjustable. I can get them for aboyt $185 shipped per end.

Mostly looking for any first hand experience. I'd do the 2-4" lift ones in the front, as the X-codes and 2" mini-spring pack lifted the front 4". (Stock in rear.)

I had them in Canada..they worked.

Switched to fox and never looked back. I never adjusted the ranchos anyway so the adjust-ability was never an issue.

ride was the same, handling was better and they last far longer. cost wise they are dollars apart and looks knock them out of the park.

Looks like they are almost a bill more per end. Plus Fox has a 1 year warranty. Rancho is lifetime and made in the USA.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the guys around here run them if they pull a lot and make them as stiff as possible. I was also looking at getting a set of ranchos because i need a new set up front. Pretty sure they're the originals. My tears are only about a year old but they were part store cheapos.

I know I'm not in the north east, but I have never found Rancho shocks to last me very long. My vehicles stay on road 99% of the time and I drive about 50k miles a year. Seems like the Ranchos have all but fallen off within the first 8-9 months.

I just put a set on my truck to help launch better on the drag strip. I noticed a difference in the way it launched and I have been workin with the adjustment to get it dialed it. So far I am pleased with them

That's one of the things I was wondering about....how long they last.

How long have you have the Fox shocks? Same conditions?

we are almost a year on the foxes and i see and feel no difference from new. same truck that we replaced ranchos annually on. gets driven 30k miles a year.

I have been running rancho 9000 XL'S for 3 years now. Just blew one out at a pull last spring. Other than that they have been fine.

i put a set of Beilstein's on about 5 years ago..(truck was parked for 2 years) Front Shocks model #BE5-2818-HO and for the rear I got BE5-2819-HO. from Eshocks.com the ride has been very nice and has not shown any rust or leaks whats so ever...

Thanks for the input all. I wanted to do Beilsteins, but I've heard too many stories about them rusting out and/or failing too quick.

I have a cheapo dual stabilizer right now, when they go (been 3+ years somehow) I plan to use Beilstein or Rancho Stabilizers.

I just put the Ranchos on my little single cab simply for the ability to adjust them for the street or the track. If you're looking for something that will last longer and is a better quality ride, I would go with Fox over Rancho.

I've had Fox 2.0 reservoirs for 14 yrs and 170k so far with no problems. I rebuilt them about 4 years ago. Rebuild kits are $12 each and takes about 10 minutes per shock. No corrosion, but I'm on the left coast.
