Are 08 and 05 taillights a direct swap?

Are the connectors the same? I want to paint my 08 tails and I was going to throw some 05 ones on there temporarily.

Reverse light sockets are different. Just tape them off and you'll be fine

Damn! Wish I knew this when I did mine. I went to the stealership and paid like $125 for new sockets and pigtails!!!

Help section , kinda look like 88-98 gm front side marker pigtails . Need to file the hole in the tail light open a little but they work great .

You can get the Ford style sockets from LMC for under $20.00. The cheap ones from Autozone are not a perfect fit.
