are most custom tunes limited

hey guys

i have custom tunes from *****ead and tunes from don thats not a member on here but i feel like the both run about the same. Im just wondering if there is more out there. I feel my old 6.0 had more stuff in its pants the the 6.7 anyone feel this way? I know they limit them some because of the turbo but didnt know if anyone else feels like me

How do the trans tunes compare? Yeah you're gonna have to upgrade your turbo now... And the fuel mods

the limit is in the ecm from the factory. the tuner cant make more boost than the ecm will allow. 13-14 are pretty gutless up top because you wont be making more than 28 psi (450 horse) no matter what you do. you need more turbo , you dont need more fuel until about 540 horse.

there's only so much you can get out of the factory pump and turbo, and it's not that much, as you've noticed

It's no rocket ship but it runs plenty good for what I need these days.

I'm wondering about the boost levels mike, kory and I have been playing with different boost levels on my truck, and they don't seem to make much of a difference, I know some guys in here are running upwards of 40 psi with the upgraded turbo. I only get about 33psi it's very hard hitting and nice any clean... My fuel pump is taxed as much as we can squeeze out of it.... I'm curious now about boost levels and stuff

I like don trans tuning better but wish it was a little quicker. Sp* was prolly the fastest tunes I had but the worse trans tuning

engine tuning is very simple. timing and fuel over the maps. most tuners will make similar power, some dirty , some really aggressive down low, some clean and strong thru the power band (ghead) but in the end the peak power of your truck is limited by fuel.
