had one of my customers request H11 studs. I asked why, he said because another shop told him they will not install ARPs because they are just as bad as stock bolts. HHMMM.. i dont know, but we have done about.. i have no idea how many trucks with ARPs and havent had any issues with them. Maybe if they are using Black Onyx gaskets..

he caught me offguard when he told me that.. i assured him if anything goes wrong with the studs i would make it right. I havent had any issues as of yet with ARPs.

If that was the case then we all would be having multiple issues by now. What a bunch of tards.

That "shop" probably wasn't properly preparing the head surface and using Black Onyx gaskets that come in all the "kits." And for them to not take the blame for their work just blamed the studs.

Nevermind the 6.0L crowd, what about all the drag cars that run nothing but arp.....I would say if arps were junk they would not be as big as they are today, sounds like they were trying to upsell some h11s.

Customer came by and we talked a bit about ARPs and what all we use them on(everything). He felt better about using the ARPs. I assured him they have alot more clamping force that stock bolts, and i do think they were trying to get over on him. From the other things he was telling me about also. KARMA..is a BIG OLE B!!

H-11's, technically speaking, do have a higher tensile strength. They do require LESS torque during assembly.

It doesn't really matter how strong the bolt is at this point, since both the ARP's and the H-11's are stronger than the material you're threading them in to.
