Well the truck is down for the winter. So its time to sell the auto and make room for the standard.

50k miles on rebuild.
Shifts like a dream.

The only difference was... where the shift cable connects on. My origional 4r100 had a pto plate on it this does not.

The important differences are that the 4R100 has a turbine speed sensor and an output speed sensor. If the PCM in a 2000 doesn't see input from these sensors it is going to operate in failure mode all the time. It will shift, but it won't be right.

If the transmission has those sensors then it is a 4R100. No E4OD had them.

That cleares up. Thanks a bunch. Ill change the title as it definantly is a 4r100. I was just going with what i was told when i purchased it.

It can be made to work. The wiring is a bit different, so you either need to swap in an E4OD solenoid body or change some pin locations in the harness connector. I don't have the specifics of what changes.

Also, there is an orifice in the pump body that is around 0.030-0.040" in an E4OD that is about .250" in a 4R100. Using a 4R100 with an E4OD PCM will cause the torque converter clutch to SLAM because of this orifice. But it will work.
