I may be able to get a front axle off an '07 F550 for cheap. The truck is getting totaled out due to an engine fire. I want to swap in the wide front axle on my 2012 F350 and maintain the 3.73 gears and 8x200 bolt pattern. Is this possible? I don't have access to the donor truck right now so I am unable to take measurements on the spring and radius mounts.
If it will mount up, can I use the 3.73 gear set from my truck in the donor housing?
Can I swap my current knuckles onto the donor housing and if so do I need to use my current outer axle shafts?
What other parts do I need to get from the donor truck to make it all work?
