Installed diesel sites wtr pump over the weekend and now I have a loud squeak/chirp while running. It appears that the belt is moving forwards and backwards on the pulley and when it strikes the back (raised guide) of the pulley it's making the noise. Anyone have an issue like this before? Any advice?... the only thing I can think of is that I didn't seat the pulley onto the shaft/housing correctly and the pulley is just tweaked enough to make it wabble... pulling that fan and shroud sucks ass!

Put a new belt on it. If you contaminated the belt with coolant it will squeak , chirp

I've done the same , sounds like you got a hamster running on the excerzize wheel under the hood. Lol

Yeah, but he said the belt is moving back and forth.
That's a pulley issue. Try getting it on straight.

One last thing to try before I throw a new belt on it. Anyone heard of the crank pulley having an extra rib? Maybe to accommodate a different belt? Anyway I'm gonna try moving mine towards the front of the truck and see if that helps.

What about the ribs on alternator pulley?? Does it have extra rib also.
Something seems not right. Someone must of put wrong belt on at one time.

Also what about the idlers. The belt should take up the whole pulley, there shouldn't be any room for belt walk.
